Why do you talk about HIV/AIDS?

December 1st is World AIDS Day.
Today, we stand with the 33 million people who are living with HIV worldwide.  And pledge to take simple personal steps to protect ourselves and others... by getting tested, knowing your status, and talking about HIV/AIDS.

At City Hall this morning, we launched an online HIV/AIDS awareness campaign that I helped produce.  It's a pretty powerful thing... people of all backgrounds -- including some celebs -- in short videos saying why they talk about HIV/AIDS.

Check out the video... and link to the channel to watch some other videos at youtube.com/italkbecause. 

Then, upload your video -- 30-60 sec -- with your name: "I'm ____ and I talk about HIV/AIDS because..."  Then title it "(Your name) Talks About HIV/AIDS Because..." and e-mail the link to italkbecause@gmail.com.
